HTML to Markdown
Want an article, documentation page or newsletter as Markdown? Select it in your browser, paste it into RichMarkdown, and the page structure turns into Markdown while the layout clutter is thrown away.
From a web page
- Select the part of the page you want (drag across it, or
Ctrl + Afor everything) and copy it. - Paste into the RichMarkdown editor.
- Delete anything you don't need (navigation, ads), then Export .md.
When you paste, RichMarkdown keeps only elements that have a Markdown meaning — headings, paragraphs, lists, links, images, code, quotes and tables — and removes scripts, styles, forms, buttons and embedded frames. Links that aren't http(s), mailto or relative are dropped.

- Moving pages from an old CMS to a static site generator (Hugo, Jekyll, Astro, Docusaurus).
- Giving web content to an AI model with its structure intact.
FAQ
Can I paste raw HTML source code?
Pasting source code inserts it as text. To convert markup, open the HTML file in a browser, select the rendered page and copy that.
Is it safe to paste from untrusted pages?
Yes. Scripts, event handlers, styles and frames are removed during paste, and everything stays in your browser.
